Santiago Acosta

Santi graduated from Polytechnic University of Catalonia with a degree in Engineering Physics, and joined the Goard lab in 2021 as a graduate student in the Dynamical Neuroscience program. He is fascinated by how neurons can collectively integrate and store information. More specifically, he aims to investigate how sensory inputs are transformed into the neural code that ultimately leads to spatial cognition. When not in lab, you can find Santi close to the ocean, either surfing, reading or just sitting in the sand trying to spot dolphins.
