Neurotechnology

Neuroscience is a technology-driven field, with new experimental approaches allowing unprecedented access to the functioning of the nervous system. In recent years, the field has been altered by the advent of optical techniques for measuring and manipulating neural activity. We hope to help extend these techniques to animals exploring spatial environments.

A few specific research questions we are focusing on:

1) Designing optical devices for accessing deep structures

2) Automated behavioral training on spatial tasks in virtual environments

3) Mobile microscopes for imaging locomoting mice
